I am a solo practitioner in private practice since 1972 and I am admitted to the Bar for the State of New Jersey and also to practice before the United States District Court for New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

I have worked for the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs, to create an Office of Hearing Examiner and an Office of Enforcement for several urban renewal laws.

I opened my law office on Nassau Street in 1972 and in 1980 was elected President of the Princeton Bar Association.

In 1984, I was trained as a Mediator by the New Jersey Institute for Family Mediation. I then studied conflict resolution at Pendle Hill the Quaker Education Center. In 2009 I trained as a Collaborative Law Attorney. These trainings have proven fruitful as the statutory and case law about divorce have evolved to a point where there are few issues requiring litigation. My continued pursuit of education reflects my commitment to offering my clients the best possible services.

Client Testimonies:

Kathy could not have been more easy to work with. She had so much knowledge and experience on guiding us in purchasing our home. She's the best!"

"Ms. Trenner helped me write my Will. She had a wonderful and comprehensive check list, and helped me think about all the things that would be important to my family in the event of my death."

"My family and I cannot thank you enough for your generosity, tenaciousness, and kindness through this very difficult time... your empathy meant a great deal to me. I'm so glad you knew my mom, even if only a little."
